Anoek Steketee’s Dreamcity is a remarkably extensive series portraying theme parks all around the world, many of which are found in unusual and unexpected locations. Although sometimes I find that a series containing more than forty photographs can be overwhelming and somewhat diluted, these are the kind of pictures that make you excited about the next one, and the next one, and the next… Until a sort of anticlimactic sad ending. I’d love to see these for real, the detail, I imagine, would be astounding. Take plenty of time out to view this work.
